Establishment of the GYA - the Global Young Academy

Formed in response to the tremendous challenges facing young scientists world-wide and science in general, the Global Young Academy (GYA) aims to:
The GYA was founded in Berlin following a series of discussions among young scientists convened by the IAP at the World Economic Forum “Summer Davos” meetings in China in 2008 and 2009. The 100 current GYA members include leading young scientists from around the world, selected from the IAP group of young scientists for the excellence of their science and commitment from nominations submitted by IAP Member Academies.
