The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) are co-organizing a policy seminar, Transforming Food Systems to Deliver Health, Sustainable Diets: The View from the World's Science Academies to be held on February 14, 2019 at the IFPRI headquarters. IAP recently brought together its four regional networks of science academies for a project aimed at sparking a new global commitment to research the opportunities and challenges facing food and nutrition security and agriculture today. This seminar will provide details on the scope and priorities of the Food and Nutrition Security and Agriculture (FNSA) project, the regional perspectives of participants, and a global synthesis. During the discussion, participants will explore mutual interests in increasing the sciences’ contribution to informed policy development, innovation, and practice.
