TÜBA/IAP Regional Workshop on “Science Academies in Central and Southern Asia and their Roles in Society”

The two-day invitation-only workshop included sessions and debates on: Academy and Society; Academy and Excellence; Academy and Youth; Academy and Politics; Academy and Policy Advice; and Connecting Academies in the Asian Region. Participants included Presidents or their representatives of the national Academies of Science of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The workshop was organized and hosted by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in collaboration with IAP.
