TWAS/IAP Workshop on "The Role of Academies in Promoting Regional Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in the Balkans"

Session topics include regional cooperation and networking in Fundamental Physics and Astrophysics; Materials and Nanotechnology for Development, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for Development, Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change, Geoenvironmental Risks and Natural Hazards in the Balkan Region, ending with a debate on the role of Academies in the Balkans in providing evidence-based advice to Governments. Invited participants include Presidents of the Academies of Science in the Balkan region, invited experts, and representatives from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
