TUBA Academy Prizes 2017 - seeking nominations

The Turkish Academy of Sciences is seeking nominations for its annual TUBA Academy Prizes.

Prizes, each valued at USD30,000, are awarded in three categories:

• Basic and engineering sciences
• Health and life sciences
• Social siences and humanities.

This year, 2017, the prize in basic and engineeering sciences wil lbe awarded to someone whose work is closely connected with Turkey.

Prizes are awarded for original, leading and path-breaking work in each field, while nominations are sought from TUBA members, academies, scietific instituions and leading scientists.

The deadline for nominations is 29 May 2017.

Laureates will be announced by the end of October.

Awards will be presented at a special ceremony held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Turkey.

Nominations should include the full CV of the nominee, plus a justification for the nomination. They should be sent to academy.prizes@tuba.gov.tr
