The Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities, is an affiliation of German Academies of Sciences and Humanities. The eight member academies forming the Union are the following:

1. Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (founded:1992/ 1700), seat: Berlin and Potsdam.
2. Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities (founded: 1751).
3. Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (founded: 1759), seat: Munich.
4. Saxonian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig (founded: 1846).
5. Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (founded: 1909).
6. Academy of Sciences and Literature, Mainz (founded: 1949).
7. North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (founded: 1970), seat: Düsseldorf.
8. Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg (founded: 2004).
