EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES IN AN IAP,NATIONAL ACADEMY OR OTHER SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATION'S GOVERNING BODY:
As part of my involvement in the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), I contribute to its governance through roles on both the Policy Advice and Membership Committees. I help identify key policy needs in global scientific areas, support evidence-based responses, and monitor the impact of IAP’s initiatives. I also evaluate academies applying for membership, ensuring they meet high standards of excellence and integrity. These roles have strengthened my engagement with the global science-policy community.
At the national level, I chair the Section on Environment, Sustainable Development, and Major Risks at the Algerian Academy of Sciences and Technologies (AAST), where I foster interdisciplinary research and policy dialogue. Additionally, I serve on the Governing Board of the African Open Science Platform, working to advance open science and enhance digital infrastructure across Africa.
