DESCRIPTION OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE ACADEMY'S ACTIVITIES OR IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS:
Munkhtsetseg Namsrai is the head of Applied Linguistics Department that plays main role for terminology work in Mongolia. Recently, she has successfully completed two projects as the leader on terminology science. One is “A Study of Mongolian Terminology Standards (Localization of ISO TC37 Terminology Standards)” (2022-2024) funded by the Ministry of Education and Sciences and the other is the Austrian and Mongolian joint project "Terminology planning strategy and terminology infrastructure for Mongolia to support scientific and educational development and innovation" within the framework of "Cooperation Development Research" announced by the Austrian Education and Science International Relations Office (2020-2024). Besides being a good manager, she is a good researcher, she was awarded “The Best Researcher” of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences in 2020. N. Munkhtsetseg has contributed to developing foreign relations of the institute in the terminology field and done many important things. She has expanded collaboration in terminology with European and international terminology organizations such as Centre for Translation Studies, University of Vienna, Austria, Austrian Academy of Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland; TUFS, Japan; KAIST, Korea; Inner Mongolian University, China; Association of Terminology of Georgia, and etc. She recently participated in the symposium of ISO TC 37 Language and Terminology held in Takamatsu, Japan on June 22-27, 2025.
