Biography

Dr. Pattarawalai Talungchit is an instructor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology—responsible for teaching and giving academic supervisions for medical students, residents and fellows, as well as providing medical services for patients. She graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand with the 2nd Class Honor in Medicine in the year 2000. Thereafter, she received her postgraduate training at the Royal Thai College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and was conferred the Diploma in Thai Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the year 2006. She then completed her PhD in Epidemiology from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand in year 2012. Currently, she is the director of the Siriraj Health Policy Unit (SIHP), with the primary task in coordinating with national and international agencies on the implementation of research for practice.
Notable professional roles undertaken include her participation among the selected Thai delegate in World Health Assembly in the year 2014 and 2015, membership in the working group of the ASEAN University Network on Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), and member of the International Organization Committee and Joint secretariat for Prince Mahidol Award Conference.
