DESCRIPTION OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE ACADEMY'S ACTIVITIES OR IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS:
Prof Tripathi is currently steering Science Promotion related responsibility of INSA through by giving opportunity to eminent scientists of India to continue doing research after their superannuation, promoting organization of national and international scientific meetings/conferences. He has been organizing several outreach activities to provide scientific training/updates to School/college teachers  and students. He was instrumental in signing MoUs with the University of Buffalo and Dalhousie University. He took lead in organizing Science fest by giving opportunity to school students to display their scientific creativity. Earlier, he provided an innovative platform to research scholars of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to hone their communication skills and promote interdisciplinary collaborations. He led establishment of an advanced instrumentation facility to support research of academia and analytical support to industry . He also established a bioincubator to promote bio-based entrepreneurship at BHU. He led the CSIR Aroma Mission to empower farmers by increasing their farm-incomes  through cultivation and processing of aromatic crops. He was also responsible for establishing a Coordination Centre on Medicinal Plants of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) at CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow and organized a training program for the delegates of 21 member countries of IORA. He has represented India to at least 25 countries for scientific delegations/meetings/conferences.
