“Urban living affects dramatically human health,” explains Prof. Saldiva in the latest IAP Urban Health video

Paulo Saldiva, Professor of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo, is a member of the IAP Urban Health Working group and in this short video explains how urban living affects human health.

City's morphology, social relationships, access to health, temperature, and air pollution levels are just some of the factors that affect urban dweller’s health. As Paulo Saldiva (Professor of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo and member of the IAP Urban Health Working group) says, there is an urban biology underlying the pathogenesis of human diseases, and in the coming decades urban health will be of paramount importance to provide a better way of living for people all over the world.
