The Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) focuses on health issues and participates in the IAP Urban Health Working Group.
Through its focus on health issues and participation in the IAP Urban Health Working Group, the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) fulfils its science advisory role and thus contributes to the attainment of SDGs 3 and 11 and the National Development Plan.
In this short video Zama Kunene, a Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council (MRC) who works in collaboration with ASSAf Urban Health Working Group, explains how Urban Health can improve the lives of those who are most affected by climate change.
