Biography

Muntasirur Rahman is a medical graduate from Bangladesh. He did MS in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. Currently he is doing PhD at The School of Population Health, University of Queensland. Dr. Rahman worked at the centre for Child and Adolescent Health (CCAH) of International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) for more that 12 years. An international health research institution located in Bangladesh, ICDDR,B has a mix of national and international staff. In collaboration with academic and research institutions throughout the world, ICDDR,B conducts research, training and translates knowledge from research into policy to develop and share knowledge for global lifesaving solutions.
Dr. Rahman's work focused on epidemiology of childhood illnesses, quality of care and improving health system.Dr. Rahman is also involved with the MPH programme of James P Grant School of Public Health,BRAC University as an adjunct faculty. He has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and actively participated in scientific conferences at home and abroad. He worked closely with the Government of Bangladesh and development partners and was involved with mentoring of young researchers at ICDDR,B. He loves to travel, meet new people and read both fiction and non-fictions.
